With two factory-supported Mercedes-AMG GT3 and seven top drivers MANN-FILTER and HTP Motorsport are well prepared for the legendary endurance classic at the Nürburgring. We expect strong competition and many uncertainties.

After our great success in the ADAC GT Masters at the end of April in the Czech town of Most, we are now facing one of the most exciting challenges in motorsport this weekend: From May 11 to May 13, the 46th ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race will take place at Nürburgring.

For this we are send two factory-supported Mercedes-AMG GT3 into the race – our MANN-FILTER Mambas. Among our seven top drivers are four successful DTM aces: Edoardo Mortara, Daniel Juncadella, Renger van der Zande and Maximilian Götz. They will shre the cockpits with the Nordschleife- and GT-experts Indy Dontje, Dominik Baumann and Christian Hohenadel. Well-experienced Van der Zande will be a “jumper” on both vehicles.

The approximately 200,000 motorsport fans who cheer around the Nordschleife, as well as the spectators in front of the TV screens, can expect an exciting race: At least 20 of the 31 GT3 race cars in the SP9 class, are eligible for podium finishes. And it remains exciting: With the unpredictable weather in the Eifel, the race could be turned on its head again as in the previous year. Nevertheless, we will send our Mambas into the “Green Hell”, as the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring is called.

“Success in motorsport is unpredictable and never certain – especially not at the Nürburgring 24 Hours,” says HTP team boss Norbert Brückner. “You can prepare yourself with the utmost meticulousness and try to consider all calculable aspects. But there are also imponderables that you are not immune to and that can throw a complete race plan over the pile. With our strong drivers and the qualities of the Mercedes-AMG GT3, we still feel well prepared and are optimistic about the endurance classic in the Eifel. Anything else we will see during the 24 hours. ”

Also, we will offer our numerous guests and the many spectators around the Nordschleife a yellow-green supporting program during the race spectacle. The MANN-FILTER fans can look forward to some surprises! 🙂

Even those who can not make it to the track can be watch the race live and keep their fingers crossed for the MANN-FILTER mambas: RTL NITRO broadcasts a total of 25.5 hours live stream starting on Saturday (12.5.) at 14:45. Before that, the station will broadcast the final stage of the first qualifying session on Thursday evening from 11.15 pm as well as the Top 30 qualifying on Friday starting at 6.30 pm. Both MANN-FILTER mambas are already qualified for this individual time trial. In the Vodafone livestream you can also follow the entire event on the Nürburgring with exclusive impressions from various driver cockpits. For example, a live onboard camera will be installed in the MANN-FILTER Mamba with the start number 48.

The start of the ADAC Zurich 24h race 2018 at Nürburgring takes place on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
